Getting started

Every Gunsmoke Development script is named gsd-.... Most of them run on top of GSD Bridge, a free resource that connects them to your framework. Install the bridge once and every GSD script works on your server.

1. Download

Scripts bought or claimed on our Tebex store are delivered to the CFX account you used at checkout:

  1. Open portal.cfx.re and log in.
  2. Go to Granted Assets.
  3. Download the script.

GSD Bridge is free and its code is open - you download it from our official channels (Tebex / Discord).

2. Put the folders into resources

Unpack the zip files. Each one contains a single folder with the resource name (for example gsd-minigames). Put these folders into your server's resources folder - you can group them, for example in resources/[gsd]/.

Do not rename the folders

Script names are part of the CFX asset system and of the exports. Keep the folder names exactly as they are (gsd-bridge, gsd-minigames ...).

3. server.cfg order

The order matters: framework → GSD Bridge → GSD scripts.

bash
# your framework first
ensure oxmysql
ensure vorp_core # or: ensure rsg-core
# ... the rest of your framework resources

# then the bridge
ensure gsd-bridge

# then every GSD script
ensure gsd-loadscreen
ensure gsd-minigames

4. Start and check the console

Restart the server. Every GSD script reports in the server console (txAdmin) when it has fully loaded:

text
[gsd-bridge] v1.0.0 ready (framework: rsg)
[gsd-loadscreen] v1.0.0 ready
[gsd-minigames] v1.0.0 ready
  • The bridge shows the framework it found: vorp, rsg or custom.
  • If a script is missing from the list, look for a red error above its line.

Admin rights

Some scripts have admin commands (for example /minigames). GSD Bridge decides who is an admin. The easiest way that works on every framework:

bash
add_ace group.admin gsd.admin allow

On VORP the admin groups and on RSG the admin permissions also count - see Bridge configuration.

5. Configure

Every script has its own config file (config.lua or config.js). Everything you can change is in that one file, with a short explanation above every setting. The script pages in these docs list every setting.
